I wrote earlier that when the washer drains that the water backs up in my tub and the toilet bubbles. I just went down into the basement and the floor was really wet and water puddled on my large rubermaid containers which sat under the toilet/vent pipe. When I pointed the flash light up to see where the water was coming from, I could see that my vent pipe was severly cracked upwards in an upside down "J"(about 1/4" wide by 12" long)rusted....and wet!!! This is where the water was coming from. I went and flushed the toilet 2x's and went back down stairs. You can hear the water trickling down the main line going out of my house. I don't think the main line is clogged. I belive my problem has to do with my vent. HELP! What do you suggest?!? Is it possible for the vent pipe to be replaced and how much could this cost?!? |
