Just a bit more on Greg's comments. Absolutely either get a valve or just cut and cap the line inside NOW. If it is zero, it is just because you have that drip that it isn't already frozen. Insulating pipes doesn't prevent freezing because insulation does not provide heat. The frost-free valves are great, but a couple of points on them. First, they must be installed horizontally and there is a top to them. Second, never leave a hose connected during the freezing time. The valve will not drain, and it will freeze and break. Trust me on that, I learned the hard way! As long as there is a bit of heat and air circulation in your insulated crawl space, the pipes should not freeze. You pipe is almost certainly not 1", it may be 3/4" or 1/2".
