My father has told my husband and I that this used to not be up to code. My uncle has also told us that this will be a problem in the future. I don't want to have to argue with the plumber about anything else if this isn't an issue. Do the newer materials used in plumbing now allow for this type of contact between the hot and cold water lines? Thank you for your reply! Our pipes are made of PVC. If you have a moment, could you please tell me what would you use to keep them removed from one another in that instance? My uncle suggested poly-propolene. Thanks again for your time!
