|In response to Re: hot water line crossing cold water line|
It happens all the time. Typically where they touch we solder them together so there is no abrasive movement.
: We are building a new home. Our plumber, who we have already went "around and around" with, has the hot and cold water lines from our daughters bathtub touching/crossing one another. My father has told my husband and I that this used to not be up to code. My uncle has also told us that this will be a problem in the future. I don't want to have to argue with the plumber about anything else if this isn't an issue. Do the newer materials used in plumbing now allow for this type of contact between the hot and cold water lines? Thank you so much for your reply... it will probably save us a lot of additional stress! Stacey
