|In response to Re: pipe thread tape vs. sealant?|
: : What do plumbers use these days to seal pipe threads -- something like RectorSeal T Plus 2 pipe thread sealant or the traditional pipe thread tape? Any advantages to the liquid sealant?
: I use teflon tape AND teflon pipe dope on virtually every threaded connection I make.
: I agree with Deb. Our company uses both also. However, I have been told that fuel oil eats up teflon and causes leaks. I feel this is bunk! We've been installing oil tanks for years with no problems. Any evidence to the contrary?
