|In response to Re: How to adjust Briggs 6000-series toilet|
I do not know the toilet by its number, but if it is the low one piece, then even many plumbers do not like to work on them. If they are, then the two black adjusters have little, if anything, to do with your problem.
: I have two 80's era Briggs toilets in my new house (NOT the "Vacuity" type). One closes the flush valve prematurely so you have to hold down the handle for a complete flush. The other functions fine but makes cool farting and squealing noises on refill (at least is WAS cool until we got sick and tired of joking about it).
: Anyway, the innards of these toilets have what appears to be two black plastic adjustment knobs, one on the ballcock and one on the "diverter" (what does that thing do anyway?!). Does anybody have any directions on how to adjust these knobs to correct my problems? Any other suggestions for a die-hard do-it-yourselfer?
