: I just recently developed a leak at a point in my sewer line where it connects from my kitchen/dishwasher drain. The leak is at the seal of the connection between the connector/reducer and sewer pipe itself not where the kitchen/dishwasher waste drain is tied in. It seems like a simple problem that will eventually develop into a big problem. Am I looking at replacing a section of the sewr pipe or can I repair the seal? Reply: How simple the repair is depends on the type of piping material. What kind of "seal" do you have that is leaking? Most likely a section of piping needs to be replaced. e-plumber
