3/8" PEX has a fairly small opening, so it would not be suitable for any high volume device, such as a washing machine, bathtub or shower. I am also not enthused about it for any extended distances, but installers use it for them. : I'm very close to redoing all the plumbing and : like some thougths,comments etc. on using 3/8" : PEX vs 1/2" for some of the destinations.
