It's somehow comforting to know that someone else is having this problem. I've called them several times, sent email to Denny White - Director of Quality for Americas Bath & Kitchen, (whited@amstd.com), and written a letter to the warranty department. I've given them till January 15th to respond with cause and corrective action. After taking a closer look at the flush valves I'm also worried that the mechanism will collect mineral deposits and quit working or break. Home Depot said they will take the toilets back, so that may be a project for this weekend.
