| In response to Re: tips on water line replacement i.e. from galvinized to plastic | |

My home is approximately 50 yrs. old and I'am currently have low water pressure. I was advised this symptom can be attributed to "old water lines". I have received several estimates from various plumbers, for water line replacement, i.e. $$$. Consequently I've decided to take on the task. Question(s) A. What material(s),i.e. copper or plastic, do you suggest? B. Local building codes (I reside in Calif.)permit both materials. C. All lines run below subfloor..crawl-space approx. 3' although it appears somewhat straight foward, any helpful tips would be appreciated.
