: Certainly, some of the OLDER models had a PILOT. Sometimes lint or static electricity forms in this area and clogs the orifice up. You can try to clean it by FIRST shutting the gas and power OFF, then remove the pilot assembly (not the zip tube) and blow out any dirt. Good luck, Hube
