If it is going to be inspected that might save getting rejected, but otherwise it makes no difference. : Would I be better off using copper strapping? : : As a practical matter, since there is not going to be any moisture that could create a galvanic action, it doesn't really matter, but would depend on your inspector. : : : Can galvanized plumbers tape be used to secure brass shower valve against a 2X4? I know it can't be used for copper, but how about brass?
