: My toilet keeps farting! I'm not a plumber at all, but I hear some sounds from upstairs and then my toilet bubbles. I know that bumm water washing may be the new rage in Japan, but I'm not thrilled at the idea myself. The apartment complex is barely half a year old, so everything else I've read pretty much refers to older apartment and septic systems. Reply:
There could be a problem with the toilet itself that needs to be addressed or a clogged and restricted common drain line.
Has anyone checked the plumbing fixtures or do you just keep listening to the "farting" sounds?
