: I am tapping into 3/4" copper to plumb a new bath. What are guidelines for when I can drop to 1/2" pipe? Is there a length vs. GPM for each size? I am most concerned about shower/bathtub combo as I want adequate pressure. The single sink I am sure would be fine with 5' of 1/2". : What is standard shower head GPM? : Thanks! There is no length versus gpm rule (per se). Pipe sizes (diameters) are generally figured by fixture units, an arbitrary number given to fixtures based on their water usage. |
