Essentially you cannot. You have to remove the shower floor and the tile part way up on the walls. Then break the floor and install the trap and the proper drain fitting. Then install a safety pan to protect against flooding in the event of a tile leak. Then retile the shower. First I would have a plumber check the drain to be certain there is no trap and that it is just not visible. It is sometimes harder to install a shower without a trap then with one. : Terry, : Thanks, : Randall
