greetings! i removed my toilet to put down a new floor. i discovered that the flange was broken, and proceeded to home depot to repair it. they suggested a brace or flange cover that would screw into the existing flange. the problem is that the existing flange is not screwed into the floor. it is a part of the waste pipe. any advice or information would be greatly appreciated. i don't want to have to call a plumber to repair something that i want to do myself. thanks!
