Slow drain in new sink installation

I've recently added a bathroom upstairs in my house. I didn't want to cut through the roof so I installed a Studor vent behind the wall in a crawl space. When I use the sink, it drains very slowly. I noticed that when I closed the drain off inside the sink using the stopper, the remaining water in the goose neck drained very quickly. This leads me to believe there is some form of air bubble or something. Could the Studor vent be causing this problem? Thanks in advance for any help. -Mark
