: I have an outside faucet thats leaking and needs replaced. The valve is soldered on and there is no room to get cut the pipe to replace it. Can I heat the solder again to break the seal to remove it? If I can - any other tips would be appreciated too... Reply: As long as there isn't any water sitting in the valve, yes, you can re-heat the joint and remove the hoss bibb, clean the copper stub out. What I do is install a female adaptor for a hose bibb (boiler drain) or a male adaptor for a sill cock. This will ease future replacement. Be extremely careful not to damage the exterior wall material. Good Luck & Happy Holidays. e-plumber
