: I'm a DIY'er and would like to add a new bathroom in my home (toilet, shower, sink). It would be about 30 feet from the main stack. 1. Is this possible? 2. Do I need a vent? 3. Installing a bathroom from scratch is quite a project for a homeowner or novice plumber. You should contact a licensed plumber in your area to see if it can be done.
You may be able to assist with the project but installaing the plumbing according to code may not be place.
