Tile grout makes the "cleanest: seal, but does not secure the toilet in position. Caulk seals secures the toilet but it can get into the tile joints and cause a bit of discoloration. : What is the scoop on sealing the base of the toilet where it meets the floor (visible to the eye)? If I had sealed the base, I would have never known that I had a leak, it came from under the base of the toilet. : If I should use one of those materials, I think it would be best to wait a few weeks to make sure I have the leak resolved.
