Just to clarify, the 2" pipe from the sump ejector must go higher than the waste line vertically and curve back around to tie in. Correct? My diagram is below. Horizontal line is waste line.

|----|
| ___|__________ waste line with wye
|
/ Height from floor is 9'

: : What is the minimum angle a 2" inlet - on 3 x 3 x 2 wye - can have when inserting the wye into a horizontal 3" waste line above the floor? Waste water will be brought up the 2" pipe from sewage ejector. I assume it must be at least 45 degrees so other water running through the 3" pipe won't run down into the 2" pipe toward the sump basin. Can it be less than 45 degrees -- I've got some space issues.

: UPC specifies that the 2" has to enter at the top of the horizontal line--the wye pointing straight up.
