In response to Re: Min. angle wye on horizontal waste line
: What is the minimum angle a 2" inlet - on 3 x 3 x 2 wye - can have when inserting the wye into a horizontal 3" waste line above the floor? Waste water will be brought up the 2" pipe from sewage ejector. I assume it must be at least 45 degrees so other water running through the 3" pipe won't run down into the 2" pipe toward the sump basin. Can it be less than 45 degrees -- I've got some space issues.

Reply:
It can't be exactly flat because of the required pitch drain piping needs, (1/4" per foot).
Once the 2" rises up from the S.E., the drain should be gravity (with the required pitch) until it reaches the 3" X 2" wye.
Good Luck. e-plumber
