: Thank you! I'm not frail. Maybe I just need to twist harder. Seems like I can't get a good grip on it. Can't get to it very well. I think there might be plumber's putty between the nuts. Any other ideas for loosening it up? Reply: If at all possible, disconnect the lavatory basin. It is a lot easier to work on it on the floor, after all, that's most likely the way the faucet was installed originally. Good Luck. e-plumber
