If the gas line is permitted under the floor in that area, and it probably will not be, there are very, very strict requirements for it. The water lines under the house will not freeze unless the house is unoccupied for a long time and everything freezes.
: I live in Iowa; it freezes here. I'm planning to build a new home. I want to use a concrete slab with no crawl space. Can the rough plumbing and gas lines go under the slab and if so how to I find out the depth they need to go before the concrete is poured
