Is he a plumber or a handyman. Even if there were stones in the valve, which is unlikely, they do not require replacing the faucet. And if it were the problem they would cause the same problem with a new faucet.

: I have a Peerless Kithcen faucet that intermittently keeps dripping - Peerless says replace the springs and seals - my plumber says he thinks stones are preventing it from closing the valve all the way and the fuacet should be replaced - what's the easiest way to deal with this?
