In response to Re: sewer gas smell in bathroom
: I have a sewer gas smell in one of my bathrooms. I have had the vent system pressurized and tested and there are no leaks in my drainage system. However, when I flush the toilet, there is a gurgling sound from the bathtub and I believe the trap is being siphoned, causing the sewer gas smell to enter the bathroom as a result.

: If this is the cause of the smells, what causes this siphoning and what can I do to fix it?

Reply:
A gurgling sound from one fixture when another is used is a vent or drainage (clog) problem.
If your plumbing is installed correctly, you should have the line, downstream of the tub, snaked and cleaned to break up a possible restriction in the line.
Good Luck. e-plumber
