What was that cast iron pipe used for? It would be an unusual installation if it had a "usable" pipe that was not already even with the floor. : I have a cast iron in my basement that I want to install toilet over. I rented the soil cast iron cutter to cut it but it's still not flat to the ground. It's about half and inch to 3/4 an inch from the ground. How do I cut the cast iron flat to put the toilet over or flatten it to the cement in my basement?
