: The sump pump comes on and pumps the water fine with limited noise, but when it finishes (1-2 min) it makes a loud, I guest choking type noise and the pipe vibrates. This noise is very loud, make it difficult to watch TV and can wake me up if I am sleeping. It doesn�t come on often, but when it does it scare any guests. Thank you for any information.
REPLY: Sounds like your float switch may be sticking and now allowing the pump to shut off. Mine did this and all I had to do was clean the float and give it a good shake.
