You may either have a bad ballast or a bad bulb, the bulb being the most likely problem, assuming the fixture does not have starters for the bulbs. : I appreciate the advice I received on my bathroom exhaust fan. Now, unfortunately, I have another problem. I have just installed a 30 inch, 2 bulb, fluorescent fixture in my dining room that will provide indirect lighting . I put the bulbs in the fixture and they are only slightly on (not bright) and they flicker badly. The fixture also seems to vibrate somewhat... Never had this before and I have installed several fixtures (mostly 48 inch). Can someone tell me what could be wrong here. I have the recommended bulbs for it also.
