: hey I have a pvc p-trap that was installed at a slight angle (max1/2" out of plumb from vertical). The sink drain tailpiece??? inserts into a reducer (1-1/4") before the 1-1/2" pvc trap. everything appears watertight, but its a little annoying to look at. Should I have this redone or let it ride? The tailpiece insert is several inches above the p-trap bottom. thx Reply: If it is exposed and annoys you to look at it, install it correctly, being a 1/2" off will not interfere with the trap seal but the trap should be installed properly aligned. If the trap is off center that means that the drain connections on top of it are not properly aligned either. Good Luck. e-plumber
