PLaacing heated objects on the cabinet will cause more problems than putting the cabinet there. The door to the rest of the building could also be a problem if it is unheated. : We are wanting to place a cabinet approx. 18 inches from our thermostat. The cabinet would be to the left of the thermostat as you look at it. To the right, there is a door to the rest of the building and to the front the thermostat is unobstructed to 80% of the building. Will this cause any problems to the operation of the thermostat?
