|In response to Re: Pressure Tanks|
I shut down the well, shut-off the gate valve to the house, (which doesn't completely shut-off), (I'll give it a new ball valve for Christmas!), and proceeded to drain with a hose bib right at the pressure tank.
There was no water coming out of the air valve stem.
With a small air pump (that would blow up a car tire from flat to 32 psi in about 10 minutes), I pumped for several minutes and couldn't get the psi above 15!
Do I need patience, and just keep pumping,,, for 30 minutes or more? I would estimate it to be about a 75 gallon size tank.
You guys are great!
