: We're in the last stages of a renovation plan and can't seem to find a reliable source for radiators (we want to have the 'old/classic' cast iron style to match the rest of the house.

: Does anyone have a source they could share? Any thoughts on why we should NOT do cast iron and go baseboard (or other water filled solutions).

New free standing cast iron rads are available but the look is nothing like what they used to be. If you live near any scrap dealers, they may have what you're looking for, there could be a lot of foot work involved. And of course, you need to pressure test the rads before they get installed.
