: : I am told you cannot have a gas dryer in a bedroom closet. Have you heard of this? Is it because there is nothing other than lint ventilation?

As was said earlier, no gas burning appliances, except certain direct-vented heaters, are permitted in bedroom areas. Besides the exhaust venting issues, there are issues regarding the need for sufficient oxygenated air to support the combustion. Closets are usually closed spaces without sufficient fresh air to support complete combustion. This is certainly a case where you want to have a licensed professional to either do the job or check out what you do. And you will definitely want the local inspector to sign off on the job.
