| In response to Re: Old Toilet Install HELP!!! | |
|
Unless your plumber used a 3" pipe, in which case you have a problem, the flange you have should be the same size as the ones used in the 30's. : I purchased a vintage (1930ish) toilet for my bathroom which has had all new plumbing installed. The plumber left a new plastic flange for the toilet install, but my old toilet has a 1" deep pocelain lip which used to set DOWN INTO the old style flanges. Can I obtain an old style flange and have that installed so that this toilet will seat in properly? Where might I buy such a flange? Thanks so much for any help.
