: Just replaced the diverter on my shower, after the $$$ : plumber couldn't get it out (amazing what Liquid Wrench will do..). I found at an ACE hardware : that the old diverter matched up perfectly with the 4' Speakman and it installed just fine. The question is how to go about replacing / rebuliding the hot & cold valves, since this shop doesn't carry these parts. Are the parts still available for Speakman? Is Speakman made under other brand names? Is Speakman a reliable brand? Reply: Speakman has been around forever. If their quality is the same as it was years ago, it is top notch. I haven't seen any recently installed faucets produced by them. Use the link to locate a distributor near you, order parts direct or bring the stems to a specialty parts store.
