Help with 3-valve Speakman Bath / Shower Valve Repair

Just replaced the diverter on my shower, after the $$$ plumber couldn't get it out (amazing what Liquid Wrench will do..). I found at an ACE hardware that the old diverter matched up perfectly with the 4' Speakman and it installed just fine. The question is how to go about replacing / rebuliding the hot & cold valves, since this shop doesn't carry these parts. Are the parts still available for Speakman? Is Speakman made under other brand names? Is Speakman a reliable brand?
