In response to Re: old Standard shower valve

: I have an old tub/shower in a 1910's : building that has two knobs for : the tub spout and two for the shower. : The hot water tub valve will not shut : off completely. : This valve has three ports. The inlet : port. An outlet port which is not : controlled by the valve and leads to : the hot shower valve. And an outlet : port controlled by the valve which : leads to the tub spout. : The valve has Standard written on it. : Has anyone ever seen such a thing? : (and would know where to get one) : Thanks! Reply: The only way to find replacement parts would be to go to a specialty parts store with the stem in hand for an exact match-up, anything else will be a waste of time. The faucet may have barrels (pictured) or it may be regular compression style with seats and washers. Good Luck. e-plumber
