I got home from a long weekend to find my water heater "knocking". I believe I can feel water surging through the cold water pipe into the gas waterheater, and when I put my ear to the waterheater I can hear perhaps a pumping sound? It is quiter downstairs, but louder upstairs in the bedroom where it sounds like a knock. Maybe the cold air returns are amplifying the sound? Help. Eric |
