: : Old drywall was removed. New greenboard is being installed. Is the greenboard installed resting on the tub, should there be gap, or should it be installed behind the tub?

: Install board over the edge, and within an 1/8" of tub . Caulk this gap before installing finish tile, Hube

Forget about "greenboard". Use cement-board, Hardibacker, etc...Greenboard is somewhat "water-resistant." It's better than regular sheetrock, but is no real substitute for more resistent stuff.
