|In response to Re: American Standard Williamsburg Elite Whirlpool|
: : Interesting suggestion. This bathroom will be used primarily for daily showering with the tub being used only occasionally. I would love to have a separate shower stall, but unfortunately room size precludes that. So I don't think the handheld shower would fulfill my needs, though it is a very handy feature for cleaning a big whirlpool.
: : : Hello Karri. Have you ever thought of using a handheld shower. It would mount into the deck of the whirlpool or the deck around the whirlpool. I do custom residential homes and most of the whirlpool installations I do involve a roman tub faucet(deck mounted faucet) w/handheld shower. It pulls out about 3 feet or so to accomidate your needs.Anyway, to answer your question, you can do it just like you said if you want to. : I am thinking of using the American Standard Williamsburg Elite Whirlpool sold at Home Depot in my master bathroom. I'd be tiling the walls around it to use in a tub shower configuration. Does anyone have experience with this or other American Standard whirlpool tubs? It is 21-1/2 inches tall. Is that too tall to use as a tub shower? Any one have whirlpool tub shower success or failure stories they can share?
: I recently purchased two Williamsburgh elite whirlpools through Home Depot they where shipped via new england motor frieght and both tubs came in craked I recommend visitng your local dealer before visiting home depot for any special order items.
