Thanks for the reply HJ. I had a chance to see the pipe in the attic and it is PB. All the info I have seen on PB has been about qest. I can't seem to find anything about vanguard. I called vanguard and they sent me a 25 year from install warranty on the system. Why do you think it should have been CPVC? : That should be glued CPVC pipe which is nothing like the polybutylene Qest. : : Has there been problems with this specific pipe and leaks. I had a house that had quest and I never had leaks at the connections. The pipe would split. I repiped with copper. We are looking at a house that was built in '94 and has this Vanguard type of pipe.
