|In response to Re: expansion tank|
According to Amtrol, their expansion tanks can be installed on the hot side. Most are connecting on the cold water side.
: Hello,we have a customer with problems with their residential water heater from day 1.always leaks at relief valve.builder went back put small expansion tank on hot side of 75 gallon water heater.lasted couple months.the feed for water heater is 1".any suggestions I realize i might have to check water pressure and put on a pressure reducing valve.I was thinking of going by the water heater drawing showing the expansion tank on the cold side.also I saw they have a air scoop which you can screw expansion tank into.not sure if can be used with potable water systems, only seen them on boilers.any help would be greatt thanks!!
