Usually if the heater will fit into the space it has the required clearances. But you have to insure the proper vents at the top and bottom of the room/area, assuming it is a gas water heater. : I want to move my water heater outside. I have a small : area aprox 22'' wide. what are stanard clearances for : water heaters.
