|In response to Re: washing machine drain|
A friend of mine had the same problem. I was able to push a piece of cast iron pipe up in the hose and clamp it with an automotive clamp. The smaller hole was just enough to restrict the flow and slow it down.
Be carefull not to restrict the hole too much and cause the pressure to blow the hose off.
: I just moved into an older house that is on a sewer line. The problem is that the washing machine drains and backs up and sprays water out the drain hose. I have put a regular garden hose down the drain and it works fine. I have also made sure there was nothing clogging up the drain. The washer just seems to drain to fast for the drain? any suggestions woudld be appreciated
