We bought a new house with a powder room plumbed to mount a pedistal sink. When we tried to set the sink, there was no wood support provided and the plumbing vent is in the exact location of where we would put an anchor or bolt. We drilled into the vent by accident, had a plumber cut a hole in the drywall to repair it, but we are still puzzled as to how we can mount this sink properly. The vent sits directly behind the drywall, there is no room for wood. Any suggestions?
