Try to shield any combustible material. Other than that, it is the same as any other place. You just need a torch with a tip that can be rotated into position and a long piece of solder. : I am currently in the process of replacing all my galvanized pipe with copper in a 90+ year old house. I am having problems with sweating a tight spot that has about a 2 inch clearance and about four inches back under a cast iron drain pipe. I would appreciate any suggestions on sweating pipes in very tight spaces. : Thank you!
