Estimted cost of replacing cast iron wastewater pipe

Greetings, We are looking at buying a 1942 house with cast iron wastewater pipes. The main drain in the basement (that collects waste water from the upstairs) was previously patched about 4 ft up from the ground, indicative of internal rust? Furthermore, there's moisture/mildew in the subfloor by the 1st floor bathroom, but we have no way of telling exactly where it's coming from. Can anyone on this list provide a ballpark figure for having a professional come in and replace the cast iron pipes (I guess w/ PVC, right?).
