It is loud, ear protection is a good idea.
The tubs break up fairly easily.
I start at the half way point and break it into quarters.
The very center of the tub where you stand is where I start.

: I've read the instructions for breaking up an old iron tub. Before embarking on such an adventure, I want to know if this is a LOUD process. Should ear protection be worn??? How MUCH brute strength will this take - a couple whacks or repeated beatings?
