wall-outlet toilet (apartment remodeling)

I am considering replacing a sloane-valve, bottom-outletout toilet in an 1920's apartment building. I would like to relocate the toilet in the bathroom. I assume a wall-outlet toilet, whether wall-mounted or floor-mounted, could be shifted provided there is adequate space behind the bathroom walls to accommodate relocation of the outlet piping to link with a waste discharge riser. To what technical issues (outside of the requisite stud walls) should I be sensitive?
